Beef in oyster sauce
Marinade:
- 3 garlic cloves crushed
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp soy
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- l/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon black/dark soy sauce
- 1 level teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- Pinch of salt
- 200g beef, thinly sliced
- 8 asparagus stems
- 8.broccoli heads
- 1/2 onion
- 1/2 red pepper thinly sliced lengthwise
- Mushrooms
Method:
- Beat beef to tenderise and Marinade 30 mins (See marinade above)
- Flash fry 2 mins and set aside
- In a wok or frying pan, heat the oil and fry the vegetables with splash of soy sauce and 1/2 cup water
- Add sauce and allow to quickly thicken
- Add beef to heat through
- Serve on bed of rice
