Gochujang Chicken

Ingredients

  1. 2 breasts chicken
  2. 2 tbsp gochujang
  3. 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  4. 3 tbsp water
  5. 2 tbsp brown sugar
  6. 2 tsp sesame oil
  7. 2 cloves garlic minced
  8. 2 tbsp canola oil
  9. Roasted sesame seeds for topping
  10. Spring onions for topping

Instructions

  1. Create sauce by combining the gochujang, soy sauce, water, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic and mix well.
  2. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and place in a bowl.
  3. Marinate chicken with 3/4 of sauce
  4. Heat oil on a large pan over medium heat and stir fry the marinated chicken for 5 minutes
  5. Increase the heat to high and add in the rest of the gochujang sauce mixture.
  6. Stir-fry for about 3-5 more minutes until the sauce is thicker and the chicken is cooked thoroughly.
  7. Serve in a serving bowl and top with roasted sesame seeds and green onions.
  8. Serve with boiled rice
