Gochujang Sauce with wings etc

This is a marinade as well as a finishing sauce

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 lb Chicken wings
  2. 1/4 cup Gochujang paste
  3. 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  4. 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  5. 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  6. 2 tbsp Honey
  7. 1 tbsp Minced garlic
  8. 1 tbsp Minced ginger
  9. 1 tbsp Sesame oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a mixing bowl, add
    1. gochujang paste,
    2. minced garlic and ginger,
    3. soy sauce
    4. sesame oil
    5. rice vinegar
    6. brown sugar
    7. honey.
  2. Mix the ingredients together until you get a dark red thick liquid.
  3. Pour half of the sauce onto the wings, toss them and let them marinade for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat up the grill to 325 degrees and set it for indirect heat.
  5. Place the marinated wings directly on the grates and let them cook for 45-60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees.
  6. Flip the wings half way through to ensure an even cook throughout.
  7. In the last 5 minutes of the cook, brush the wings with the left over gochujang sauce.

Remove the wings in gochujang sauce off the grill, rest for 10 minutes, top off with some sesame seeds and green onions and enjoy!
