Meatball Parmigiana

A traditional Italian Meatball recipe with the added benefit of being easy to cook (and eat!

Meatballs

  1. 500g beef mince
  2. 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  3. 1 cloves garlic
  4. 1 beaten egg
  5. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  6. salt and pepper
  7. Olive oil

Sauce

  1. Olive oil
  2. 1 clove garlic + some herbs
  3. 400g chopped tomatoes (1 tine)
  4. 400g passata
  5. 1 cupr grated chees
  6. 1 1/2 tsp sugar

Methodology

  1. Meatballs
    1. Combine all the meatball ingredients together and create load small meatballs
    2. Cook the meatballs
  2. Sauce
    1. Fry garlic and herbs then add all other ingredients
    2. Slowly simmer to thicken
    3. Add meatballs and sauce into ovenproof dish
    4. Bake in the over for 20 mins
  3. Serve
    1. Add side salad and serve with or without garlic bread
