A traditional Italian Meatball recipe with the added benefit of being easy to cook (and eat!
Meatballs
- 500g beef mince
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- 1 cloves garlic
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- Olive oil
Sauce
- Olive oil
- 1 clove garlic + some herbs
- 400g chopped tomatoes (1 tine)
- 400g passata
- 1 cupr grated chees
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar
Methodology
- Meatballs
- Combine all the meatball ingredients together and create load small meatballs
- Cook the meatballs
- Sauce
- Fry garlic and herbs then add all other ingredients
- Slowly simmer to thicken
- Add meatballs and sauce into ovenproof dish
- Bake in the over for 20 mins
- Serve
- Add side salad and serve with or without garlic bread
